唐丹玲应邀为“南海海洋科学研究培训班”授课

2022年8月23日,广州海洋实验室引进高端领军人才唐丹玲教授应邀为“Training Course on Marine Scientific Research in the South China Sea(南海海洋科学研究培训班)”授课。唐丹玲讲座分为“Typhoon ‘Wind-Pump’ Impacts on Marine Ecological Environments(台风‘风泵’对海洋生态环境的影响)”和“Satellite Remote Sensing of Marine Ecology:Opportunities and Challenges(海洋生态卫星遥感:机遇与挑战)”两个部分。
唐丹玲是广州海洋实验室南海生态环境权益综合研究U团队带头人,曾经担任全球海洋遥感协会(PORSEC)主席和太平洋海洋科学与技术学会(PACON)主席。她的讲座介绍了海洋卫星遥感技术和“风泵”生态环境效应理论框架,系统阐述了台风“风泵”对南海生态环境的影响,并通过动态观察、监测海洋生态环境要素的变化,探讨海洋生态卫星遥感的机遇与挑战。她将卫星遥感技术与平台作为“触角”与“眼睛”,研究内容从微小的单细胞浮游植物涵盖到巨大的台风系统。
近几十年来,由于气候变化,南海的海洋和大气环流发生了显著变化。热带气旋、风暴潮、内波、强流等极端海洋气象过程频繁发生,对南海海洋环境和生态系统造成严重影响,给中国和东盟国家造成重大人员伤亡和经济损失。为了更好地了解南海的自然特征,使得中国和东盟国家以可持续和科学的方式更好地利用和保护南海,进一步推动南海海洋科学研究合作,中国自然资源部举办了此次“南海海洋科学研究培训班”,时间为2022年8月22日至26日。
培训班邀请了10余位知名专家学者授课,分享海洋科学研究各个领域的经验和最佳实践。170多位主要来自于东盟国家和中国的人员参加了培训。此次科研培训进一步了推动南海海洋科学研究的进行,极大的促进了南海气候变化、海洋生态系统、环境保护等领域的海洋科学研究的开展。
Tang Danling gave lectures for the Training Course on Marine Scientific Research in the South China Sea
On August 23, 2022, Professor Tang Danling, a leading talent introduced by the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Guangzhou), was invited to give a lecture on "Training Course on Marine Scientific Research in the South China Sea". Tang Danling's lecture is divided into "Typhoon ‘Wind-Pump’ Impacts on Marine Ecological Environments" and "Satellite Remote Sensing of Marine Ecology: Opportunities and Challenges.
Tang Danling is the leader of the U team for the Comprehensive Research on the ecological and environmental rights of the South China Sea at the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Guangzhou). She used to be the chairman of PORSEC and PACON. Her lecture introduced the Marine satellite remote sensing technology and the theoretical framework of "Wind-Pump" ecological and environmental effects, systematically expounded the impact of typhoon "Wind-Pump" on the ecological environment of the South China Sea, and discussed the opportunities and challenges of Marine ecological satellite remote sensing through dynamic observation and monitoring of the changes of Marine ecological and environmental elements. Using satellite remote sensing technology and platforms as "antennae" and "eyes", she studies everything from tiny single-celled phytoplankton to giant typhoon systems.
In recent decades, due to climate change, the ocean and atmospheric circulation in the South China Sea have changed significantly. Extreme Marine meteorological processes such as tropical cyclones, storm surges, internal waves and strong currents occur frequently, causing serious impacts on the Marine environment and ecosystem of the South China Sea and causing heavy casualties and economic losses to China and ASEAN Member States (AMS). In order to better understand the natural features of the South China Sea, enable China and AMS to better utilize and protect the South China Sea in a sustainable and scientific way, and further promote cooperation in Marine scientific research in the South China Sea, the Ministry of Natural Resources, People’s Republic of China held the "Training Course on Marine Scientific Research in the South China Sea" from August 22 to 26, 2022.
More than 10 renowned experts and scholars were invited to give lectures and share their experiences and best practices in various fields of Marine scientific research. More than 170 people, mainly from AMS and China, attended the training. This research training has further promoted the Marine scientific research in the South China Sea, and greatly promoted the Marine scientific research in the fields of climate change, Marine ecosystem and environmental protection in the South China Sea.
